o hay gaiz
Yeah so my brother decided to destroy my mom's computer with funfun viruses from LimeWire, and the scanner doesn't want to work with my laptop. Also my camera broke.
But now I have a new camera, so I can post... stuff!
Hey, I actually updated again! This is a good sign, seeing as I tend to have lofty goals and good intentions, but laziness prevails. I'd probably sketch even if I didn't update this blog, but it's nice to be able to share my work with others, get constructive criticism, and, well, stick with something.
Harmony and I have a love-hate relationship. I created her a very long time ago with the intention of making myself do a webcomic, but it never really worked out. She's supposed to be a popstar and mahou shoujo heroine with an attitude, and there are a lot of costars that go along with her. I don't particularly care for the storyline anymore, but I still like her character design. I figured if I was going to draw someone angry, Harmony should definitely be a part of it. :)
Ferne again. The anger in this one is slightly subdued... maybe because she doesn't have her whip with her! I actually really like this one.
Until next time!
So I deleted all of my entries. Normally I would just make them private or something, but honestly, they were all answers to Questions of the Day. I was posting just to post. There was nothing meaningful.
I decided at one point that this would be a cosplay journal, and while I would still very much enjoy having one, I need to find the funds with which to cosplay first... and that'll take me a good long while.
So why did I come back to Vox? Well, for one, there's really no reason to abandon a perfectly good blog. I mean, I was here when this site was in Beta testing! Plus this site is really cute. Also, I've been thinking; I need an art blog.
I could easily have made one on LiveJournal, where I'm far more active... and before Six Apart sold LJ I might have done that. But I like SA's approach on things and I'd like to use their services.
So... I'm going to try.
The only problem I foresee with this is that I don't have a tablet and I may not have access to a scanner for a while. Art is art, though; photographs, drawings, photomanipulations, random graphical tidbits... I figure it all deserves a place. I go through phases where I draw more than I take photos, and then switch, so don't be too surprised at this.
Lately I'm on a drawing kick, so here are a few examples of my work. If you'd like to see photos, check out my DeviantART account.
Daenyris is my handle at Gaia, where I'm only vaguely active. I like my avatar a lot, though, and I decided to draw her. Yes, I'm aware of how fucked up her hand is. Hands are one thing I'm working on.
This is my Gypsy, Ferne, and he husband, Cloud, from Ragnarok Online. I'm hopelessly addicted to this game, so expect a lot of fanart from it. Even if I decided I didn't like RO anymore I'd probably still draw my characters; I'm extremely attached to that Gypsy.
Anyway, here's to a, hopefully, successful art blog. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. :)
Veggie Burgers with Muenster and a little bit of kicked up mayo (Frank's Red Hot + Best Foods Light) makes for a very happy Jason. Add to that a cup of yogurt (Mountain High Vanilla) and either some water or juice (Naked or Bolthouse) and you've got yourself a pretty awesome lunch.
I've been eating these almost exclusively for the past couple months and I haven't managed to get tired of them yet. Let's see how I feel in another couple months tho... ;)
For whatever reason I've been using the word "Dizzope!" to express my excitement with things — but I'm afraid it makes me sound like a douche.
So, uhm, you guys are my friends for the most part... Does it?
Sunday is a Disney day. It's been a while since I've been, but I'm quite glad that I get to take Sarah for her first time in damn near 10 year. I'm pretty sure we're going to have a metric crapton of fun.
So, when's the last time you went to Disneyland?
I didn't think I'd get that into it when I'd heard about the show, but I am way too caught up in "1 vs. 100".
The fact that it's hosted by Bob Saget helps, I think... ;)
